Founded in 2010, Xishi Curry Rice opened its first scissors cut curry rice stall in a humble coffee shop at Blk 727 Ang Mo Kio.
The Xishi journey began 10 years ago when our founder, Eddie, was encouraged open his own stall after receiving many compliments from friends and family for his pork cutlet. Backed by this support, he decided to open a curry rice stall, featuring his signature pork cutlet.
Eddie set out to master the art of Hainanese curry; this journey led him to learn from family recipes that had been passed down through the generations. Having been taught traditional curry rice recipes, Eddie was ready to open his stall and serve his first customers.
The combination of traditional Hainanese curry and his signature pork cutlet was well loved by many. Yet, Eddie noticed a difference between the taste buds the young and old. This led him to improve his curry recipe to cater to both.
